Receipt-Cap Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Receipt-Cap mobile application, related backend services, and associated website pages. By using Receipt-Cap, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

Receipt-Cap is designed to help users capture, extract, organize, edit, and back up receipt information. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the service or other users.

2. Accounts

Some features require sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activities that occur under it.

3. Your Content

You retain responsibility for the receipts, images, OCR text, categories, and other data you upload, scan, edit, or back up through Receipt-Cap.

You must have the right to upload and store the content you use in the app.
You are responsible for verifying extracted receipt fields before relying on them.
You are responsible for your own backup and export decisions.

4. OCR and AI Extraction

Receipt-Cap may use local OCR and, when enabled, third-party AI providers to extract receipt details from images. Extraction results may contain mistakes and should be reviewed by you before use.

5. Third-Party Services

Receipt-Cap may connect with third-party services such as Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Drive, cloud storage providers, and AI service providers. Your use of those integrations may also be subject to the third party's own terms and policies.

6. Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Acceptable Use

Do not use the service for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent activity.
Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or compromise the service or related infrastructure.
Do not use the app to store or transmit content you do not have the right to handle.

8. Disclaimer

Receipt-Cap is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Receipt-Cap and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business interruption arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if the service is misused, if account security is at risk, or if required for operational or legal reasons.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms should be reviewed and customized for your business, jurisdiction, and release model before production use.
